A player's Health Vial at 13%.

     A player's health vial represents the their physical condition. When it hits zero they are forced to abscond from battle and wait for their next encounter as a recuperation period before they can participate in battle again. It is recommended that players avoid such an event, and characters dying permanently (or nearly permanent, in any case) when this happens is being considered as a future feature.

Whenever you climb a rung on your echeladder your max health or "gel viscosity" increases by 15, though you'd never know it since your health is only ever displayed as a percentage.

Recovering Health

  • Players can regain health by defeating enemies and picking up health gel.
  • A character's waking self can recover health by spending encounters as their dream self, wasting time or fighting foes, and their dream self will recover as they spend time as their waking self.
  • Players can gain health (and other effects) by consuming consumable items such as jelly donuts, bottles of water, or radioactive spider blood Faygo.
