cardKind is one of the kind abstratuses found in The Overseer Project. There is no set way for the decks to work yet; some can have cards drawn to produce a variety of interesting effects, others have sharp bladed edges for wicked papercutting, yet others summon monsters to fight for you, and some are simply single cards. Experiment with them until you find one that suits your fighting style (or is so ridiculously powerful you don't want anything else), why don't you? There are currently 91 weapons available for cardkind. Some are shown below. If you want to avoid spoilers, then under no circumstances should you read on.

Base Decks

Blackjack Deck

  • Strength: 2
  • One Handed
  • A normal deck of cards, nothing unusual here.

Old Valentine's Day Card

  • Strength: 1
  • One Handed
  • An old Valentine's Day card from your school crush. It was one of the many mandatory cards given out in your class Valentine's Day party, so it probably meant nothing to them, but it means the world to you.

Tarot Deck

  • Strength: 1
  • One Handed
  • The Homestuck tarot deck! No Seer should be without one.

Alchemisable Decks

4 of Frogs / Saber Croak

  • Strength: 750
  • One Handed
  • Frogs ain't a real suit and sabers don't croak!

4 of Hearts / Quadrant Keyblade

  • Strength: 677
  • One Handed
  • This time of year, love is in the air... as well as Christmas, Halloween, and St. Patty's Day when you're wielding this keyblade.

4 of Space Frogs / Saber of Vast Croaks

  • Strength: 1000
  • One Handed
  • This alternately increasingly absurd playing card or surprisingly effective frog themed saber makes you feel like you know exactly where you are at all times.

4 of Spades / Saber Rattle

  • Strength: 400
  • One Handed
  • The perfect card when you need to kill something out of rage and frustration.

7 of Spades / Bait and Switchblade

  • Strength: 700
  • One Handed
  • Treat your enemies to a bit of the old BAIT AND SWITCHBLADE.

8 of Spades / Double Edged Sword

  • Strength: 800
  • Two Handed
  • A large, double-edged sword. You could kill a room with this thing!

Ace of Clubs / Crook of Felony

  • Strength: 1010
  • One Handed
  • It’s time to deal those underlings a senseless shin-drubbing with your CROOK OF FELONY.

Ace of Spades / Cast Iron Horse Hitcher

  • Strength: 1500
  • One Handed
  • Bring me a horse and I am yours forever.

Ace of Swords

  • Strength: 1000
  • One Handed
  • The Ace of Swords is a sign of clear thought and cutting through confusion, a sign of being able to see through deception. It encourages you to make a stand and hold to your decisions no matter how radical. It also turns into a actual sword that's more than capable of being used effectively for mundane purposes. That's probably more pertinent to the situation at hand.

Ace of Wands

  • Strength: 1000
  • One Handed
  • The Ace of Wands is a sign of inspiration, a sign of a new Beginning. It encourages you to "go for it" It also turns into a really powerful wand. I probably should have said that earlier...

Ancient Spades

  • Strength: 1200
  • One Handed
  • Not to be confused with the ancient version of Spades, the Pentacles suit.

AR Cards

  • Strength: 128
  • One Handed
  • Now you can bring your favorite characters to (virtual) life with these augmented reality cards. And when they're not aiding you in a strife, you can always waste time playing fishing, archery, or taking ridiculous pictures.

Auto Card Gloves

  • Strength: 96
  • Two Handed
  • CARDS EVERYWHERE!!! MAKE THEM STOP!!!

Automatic Card Spewer

  • Strength: 52
  • Two Handed
  • A machine gun loaded with playing cards that shoots them out at high speeds in quick succession. How's THAT for 52 card pickup?!

Black Cards of Creation

  • Strength: 1500
  • One Handed
  • These cards are used by users of a dark, powerful magic. Through their dark energy they are ably to use these cards deadly projectiles, or at times use them to summon dark creatures.

Blackjackknives

  • Strength: 62
  • One Handed
  • Normal playing cards with razor sharp edges made of, guess what, knife blades!

Blackstar Deck

  • Strength: 67
  • One Handed
  • A glowing deck of blackjack cards. When thrown, a card splits into several spinning stars. Kinda makes you feel like some kind of gambling ninja! (Or maybe ninja gambler? Yeah, that definitely sounds cooler.)

Bladed Cards

  • Strength: 50
  • One Handed
  • A deck of weighted playing cards lined with sharpened steel. Attempts to shuffle inevitably lead to self harm.

Cake Slice / 2 of Cakes

  • Strength: 30
  • One Handed
  • A very pointy cake slice and a very low number in a card suit that doesn't even exist.

Cake Slice on a Stick / 4 of Cakes

  • Strength: 60
  • Two Handed
  • The pointy cake slice is now on a long stick, so it has a little bit more reach. Cakes still isn't a valid card suit, though.

Card of Mjolnir

  • Strength: 950
  • One Handed
  • A card depicting the legendary hammer Mjolnir. It is said this card has a thunderous power, and will always return to the owner if thrown.

Card of the Thunderbird

  • Strength: 1600
  • One Handed
  • Norse and Greek mythology come together to bring you this electrical powerhouse. Summon and control the mythical Native American Thunderbird, and blast your foes from the face of the earth. Also serves as a convenient ride.

Card Shuffler

  • Strength: 24
  • One Handed
  • Shuffles cards at a whimsy, and may or may not spray them everywhere. It's all up to how it feels really.

Clow Cards

  • Strength: 278
  • One Handed
  • A set of magical cards, each one holding captive a powerful spirit.

Deck of Personas

  • Strength: 400
  • One Handed
  • This stylish deck of tarot cards featured in SMT: Persona 4 are quite the treasure, but something is missing...

Digimon Cards

  • Strength: 45
  • One Handed
  • You have no idea what is going on with these cards. How do you attack? Why are there three sets of numbers there and four sets of numbers there? Who even designed this shitty game? Oh well, at least the card stock is sharp.

Digivolving Tarot

  • Strength: 60
  • One Handed
  • It's said that with enough practice, the Digimon on these Tarot cards will digivolve and the deck will increase in power. Or the art will get prettier. It's one of those two.

Duel Disk

  • Strength: 175
  • One Handed
  • This shitty plastic arm thingy is actually surprisingly powerful with the right set of cards loaded into it. It also folds up and looks somewhat cool, and is easy to use while riding a motorcycle.

Exploding Card Spewer

  • Strength: 88
  • Two Handed
  • You aren't really sure if it's the cards that explode or the gun itself. Either way it's really cool.

Exploding Clockpunk Card Spewer

  • Strength: 132
  • Two Handed
  • This thing shoots out cards. Or it's supposed to, at least - instead it spews a mix of cards and rusty, broken gears, practically exploding in your hand whenever it fires. Somehow it never breaks down anyway.

Fair Game

  • Strength: 28
  • One Handed
  • A weaponized deck of tarot cards taken from the game in question. You can probably cut somebody with these. Unfortunately, the name is a bit of a misnomer, in that it is a complete lie.

Fiduspawn Cards

  • Strength: 612
  • One Handed
  • If you can ever learn how to play this game, it looks like you can use these cards to summon monsters through a very messy and convoluted process to do your bidding. Such as stomping imps into oblivion. Worth it!

Game of Stars

  • Strength: 8
  • One Handed
  • A deck of cards enhanced with the power of the stars- or at least some shitty sparkling dust. It might have magical power, except everyone knows magic isn't real.

Graphics Card

  • Strength: 16
  • One Handed
  • For when you need to see an imp's blood splatter IN HD!

Green Sun Spade

  • Strength: 8000
  • One Handed
  • You can't bring yourself to look directly at the cards that you draw from this deck. Best to aim away from face.

Hurricane Rocker Deck

  • Strength: 52

Isnamidev's Captcha Card

  • Strength: 0
  • One Handed
  • The actual card used for the 'empty card' in the art submissions. Although you're not sure how you know that, considering it looks no different than an ordinary blank captcha card, and also because that'd be breaking the fourth wall.

Kinetically-Charged Cards

  • Strength: 64
  • One Handed
  • A deck of playing cards that glows pink and explodes on impact.

King of Spades / Occam's Razor

  • Strength: 1300
  • One Handed
  • Let's cut to the chase.

Kingdom Hearts Playing Cards

  • Strength: 3
  • One Handed
  • Sometimes you forget these actually exist. In fact, most people you know don't think they exist until you show them.

Magician's Deck

  • Strength: 16
  • One Handed
  • A basic deck full of magic spells and monster descriptions. They glow with a faint light when touched and often make weird noises.

  • One Handed
  • A spellstamp containing a variety of spells for stabbing things and breaking clocks.

  • Strength: 82
  • One Handed
  • No matter what, I'll never forget...

  • Strength: 1800
  • One Handed
  • A magical tarot deck that always answers any question with perfect accuracy. Also, every card is blank. It's a win-lose situation.

Pokemon Cards

  • Strength: 22
  • One Handed
  • They appear to be cards for some human version of Fiduspawn. Weird. While they lack the summoning power of the Fiduspawn game, this is some sturdy cardboard.

Queen of Spades / Portent of Death

  • Strength: 1200
  • One Handed
  • What this card's draw means is that something is going to die.

Razor Cards

  • Strength: 33
  • One Handed
  • When you play a hand of these, you'll probably end up playing your actual hand as well.

Rules of Timetravel / TARDIS Key

  • Strength: 999
  • One Handed
  • Finally something that explains the inner workings of timelines in words that a temporally-challenged being can easily grasp. You think everyone involved in time-shenanigans should have access to this helpful little item.

  • Strength: 75
  • One Handed

  • One Handed
  • A deck of cards with edge sharp enough to cut through granite.

Star's Fate

  • One Handed
  • A case of 52 steel playing cards, perfect for throwing into the eyes of your enemies or foiling those pesky X-ray glasses your friends always use to cheat at poker.

  • Strength: 1470
  • Two Handed
  • Though tarot has long been used to tell fortunes, this new method is 100% accurate! I see fire in your future.

  • Strength: 210
  • One Handed
  • A Deck of playing cards radiating with the darkness of the outer ring.

The Heart of the Cards

  • Strength: 1000
  • Two Handed
  • Sometimes, drawing just the card you need is more skill than luck. This is nothing like that, but it is complete bullshit. Oh, and ridiculously powerful. That too.

The Sun

  • Strength: 30
  • One Handed
  • Symbolizes light and happiness. Indicates a bright future. Inflicts a mean paper cut.

XLVI Angel of Double Death

  • Two Handed
  • The creature pictured on this card is obscured by an impossibly dark shadow, to the point that the card is black with some green lines on it. And yet... it terrifies you.

XXI - The World

  • Strength: 7777
  • One Handed
  • The most powerful of all tarot cards. It can represent Success and will hopefully lead you to victory. Use it wisely.
